A Brief History

Body Remedy Miami was established in 1999; born out of love and passion to helping others. After a serious auto accident that left me nearly paralyzed, I considered back surgery. I was in search of alternate treatments and met David Shea an expert in neuromuscular integration therapy. After three months of treatments and stretching exercises I avoided surgery all together. It was then I decided to leave my banking career and become a neuromuscular therapist. David took me under his wings and became an invaluable mentor in my professional growth and development.

Today Body Remedy Miami is home to world champion athletes, hall of famers, weekend warriors, orthopedic patients, and ordinary folks just looking for stress and tension relief…

Welcome to Body Remedy Miami

A Therapeutic and Sports Massage Clinic

Neuromuscular Therapy

NMT can provide the powerful relief you’ve been looking for. This precise, soft-tissue therapy helps release hyper contraction and spasms in soft tissue, eliminate trigger points that cause pain and restore postural alignment and flexibility.

Sports Massage Therapy

Body Remedy Miami

Sports Massage provides therapies and table stretching for athletes, people seeking pain relief, or for anyone trying to manage the stresses of the daily grind. We all demand a lot from our bodies, but it’s important to give the body some therapeutic relief as well.

Cupping Therapy

Cupping is similar to a deep tissue massage with suction and decompression. Therapeutic cupping helps keep the body in balance, increases overall blood flow and reduces pain. Some athletes use this to decrease muscle recovery time.

Acupuncture Therapy

Acupuncture is a technique that reduces muscle spasm and pain. Acupuncture directs a small microfilament needle into active trigger points, thus reducing muscle tension, pain/spasm and helping to restore mobility.

Shiatzu Massage

Shiatzu massage is one of the most commonly requested forms of massage. It incorporates five strokes: effleurage, petrissage, friction, tapotement, and vibration. These strokes are designed to stimulate circulation, ease surface level tension, and ultimately, relax and relieve stress.

Myofascial Stretch Therapy

This therapy targets fascia, the most prevalent tissue in the body. Fascia is found around the muscles, joints, arteries, veins, the brain, and the spinal cord. The stretch helps reduce pressure and release stored stress in the fascia, improving circulation and flexibility while boosting energy.
